P5 Iron Men Models

Christine suggested we put some photos of our fantastic Iron Men Models on our Den so here they are !
The task was to design and build a model of the Iron Man but the challenge was to make sure that the model Iron Man could stand upright on its own. This model below was cleverly built with cans for legs as it could stand firmly taking the weight of the body and head.

These Iron men models were successful as they met they fulfilled the  challenge of being able to stand independently. The middle model had cans for legs which could take the weight of the model. The models on the right and left could not stand initially but then the use of egg boxes to attach the legs to solved this problem .
Pupils had to use their creativity and thinking skills to work out how their models could stand independently.

The iron man pictures look really good and I am glad you put them on.
It was so much fun making them and I hope we can make lots more things like the models.

I had so much fun building an iron man.It had to stand and one part of it's body parts had to move.It took us a long time to build it but it was worth it!!!!!!!
